About Me
My name is Alyssa “Monique” Casimiro.
I am a Marymount University honors graduate with a B.A. in Fashion Design and a passion for bridal, evening wear, and costume design.
The first time I took up a needle & thread was when I turned 8. I begged my mom to teach me how to sew after seeing the elaborate costumes of my favorite tv shows and movies. Since then I have consistently challenged myself to bring some creative flare to a classic aesthetic.
Since beginning my career, I’ve had a varied range of experiences that have made me the designer I am. A few of these experiences include: stretching my construction skills at Wolf Trap Opera; working on major production orders with Elaya Vaughn and Carine’s Bridal; and receiving the Portfolio in Motion Award at Marymount University’s annual fashion show “Portfolio in Motion: Reverie.”
Now that I have finished my studies, my goal is to continue working in the fashion industry to further my career.
